damn it: wake up!!
As Barb and I were watching the national news (NBC) last night, there was one story, impactful, poignant and what should make every American blood churning angry but also be an eye-opener. Even if independent of the other one ultimately opens both eyes. Which should also bring the Constitution front and center: provide for the … general Welfare of the United States; (Article I/Section 8/First Clause). Yes, a power held by Congress! Except, instead of working to provide for and unify the country, legislators, in the melee of political expedience, through Party unity divide WE THE PEOPLE into devolving morons to where we’re no longer a people united but wholly divided … by Party.
And in the intentional division, legislators win. They amass more power, gain greater wealth, while further dividing the people. The worst part of the entire affair; lives are intentionally sacrificed for profit. While lobbyist glad hand and enrich legislators, the average American points their finger at the other side, dismissing the three pointing back as the power brokers laugh all the way to the bank. My God people: Wake up! Stop fighting over the intentional illegal alien fiasco or any number of Party driven divides. But understand, the illegality of illegal aliens becoming “legal tender” is a design of intent to change the entirety of the voting landscape. If Party succeeds; WE THE PEOPLE will lose. And one is being foolish if they think otherwise. Except, and a conundrum, in the limited government we live by, immigration is not under the purview of Congress unless it amends the Constitution to obtain that power. Although, it does have the power of uniform rule of naturalization (Fourth Clause - same Article/Section). There is a difference, and it creates a problem if the nation continues on the current path.
Anyway, my digression’s over. So, of the piece covered, it was about an individual fighting Stage IV cancer and his insurance company denying a procedure that could [have] save[d] his life. I believe they mentioned the success rate from the procedure was 85-95%. Yet his insurance company deemed it experimental, even though the FDA approved it. Sadly, after the family had received denial after denial, NBC News injected itself and the procedure was finally approved. Most likely too late because the individual may now not be strong enough to undergo the treatments. But four months ago, he was. And thus, he’ll die while the insurance company grows richer, and legislators continue to prevaricate to citizens believing they actually care when in truth, they don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves.
But in every issue taking place today, one has to read the Constitution, understand the intent of the design and know that with evolution, the president is not the “Wizard of Oz,” a child cannot change genders, but a man can wear a dress, or a woman can wear “the pants” and the nation can be better. Although, for the nation to achieve its designed potential, one also has to read and understand word definition to understand the complicity in politics. So, again: provide for the … general Welfare of the United States; (Article I/Section 8/First Clause). Two words defined:
General: Public; common; relating to the whole community; as the general interest or safety of a nation.
Welfare: Exemption from misfortune, sickness, calamity or evil; the enjoyment of health and the common blessings of life; prosperity; happiness; applied to persons (Webster’s 1828).
Now, the key definition to understand: Welfare! And yes, it can apply to multiples of issues the nation faces. But think, while Congress provides themselves healthcare second to none, the average citizen is saddled with monthly premiums and deductibles they can ill afford, including ghost companies where they can’t get appointments after paying for something essentially worthless. And yes, Obamacare only made things worse. Yet if one understands the definition, healthcare for citizens is achievable. But worse; Congress wrote the very laws that weigh citizens down with a debt that, if they suffer a catastrophic health emergency, will force them into premature death or bankruptcy. So, while we go about our day, learn the Constitution, and never ever trust a legislator!
