Well, I did not post anything yesterday. The goal: wait for the aftermath thereof or follow along with the ongoing Los Angeles “peaceful protests” over the illegal alien crackdown. You know, the First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. And yes, every Democrat legislator so far has stated they are peaceful. Although, someone really needs to explain the definition of “peaceful.” Because there is a monumental amount of carnage taking place. And stunningly, President Trump has power beyond anyone ever imagined! That he can single-handedly orchestrate such an event of destruction and mayhem, is beyond my ability to comprehend. But hey, some of those legislators and social media posts say all of it is so.
But … inclusive of the Right to protest are the diatribes about ICE agents wearing masks to conceal their identities. But I ask: Why do protesters wear them, thereby concealing their identity? Also, while agents bespeak all manner of government deception and Nazism, others pontificate citizens are next in line for deportation in Trump’s goal of authoritarianism. And the “peaceful protestors.” Are they Antifa preserving democracy, regular citizens exercising “the right of the people peaceably to assemble” or paid agitators stoking anarchy while they spit on the flag, burn it, spit on a cop or throw projectile democracy?
Anyway, in the bloviating cacophony and finger pointing, DUE PROCESS is the new battle cry, as global warming, the old one shelved to keep discombobulation at the forefront of disruption. But in the muscle flexing and chest pumping; think Gavin Newsom and “come arrest me,” or the verbal idiocy of Los Angeles Mayor Bass, that although one entered the country illegally without any due process to enter, by God, they cannot be expelled without due process to deport. Just touch American soil and you’re in, as the 5th and 14th amendments make it so. Or do they:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation (Fifth Amendment).
All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws (Fourteenth Amendment/Section 1).
Well, history is a touchy subject, especially when some work diligently to distort it. The Bill of Rights (first ten amendments) were an Anti-Federalist kind of thing, having nothing to do with the supposed altruism of today’s blanket amnesty of citizenship. That being another topic itself. But even though the Constitution limited the government’s power, being a Bill of Rights (restraint of the government) for WE THE PEOPLE, anti-federalists believed things were not clear enough and did not go far enough, thus the first ten. But … weren’t anti-federalists also slave holders who refused to free their property while demanding their Rights be grounded solidly against tyranny: Might not some surprise also be expressed, that those who reproach the Southern States with the barbarous policy of considering as property a part of their human brethren, should themselves contend, that the government to which all the States are to be parties, ought to consider this unfortunate race more completely in the unnatural light of property, than the very laws of which they complain (Federalist 54)? Yes, the very same ones who demanded personal Rights while denying those of others? So, if the Fifth did not cover slaves then, was their intent to cover those who enter illegally today?
But in the vicious cycle of deception, a design of intent can be construed to an intent of design, thereby defeating the original designed intent completely. The Constitution itself is just such an example. So, guess what one of those powers is not in the purview of Congress: Immigration. Nor is there such a power with the president. Which makes immigration a State’s Right but also presents the fourteenth amendment and the six words everyone seems to dismiss: “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” …. Thus, citizens of other nations are not subject to Rights under the Constitution. And while the fourteenth was meant as a slave amendment making them citizens; go back to the anti-federalists who were in truth southern Democrats to understand the hatred and need for the 14th. Except, the begging question: Was it necessary?
I guess one only needs to understand the simple non-complexity of the nation’s three framing documents, understanding: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness (Declaration of Independence). But who decides the beginning and the end and who foots the bill? Oh, and if you believe your Party cares about anyone, in the world of proverbials: A leopard can’t change its spots but uses them as camouflage. Maybe this is all about power. And power is in numbers and numbers for representation gains House seats which is controlled by the decennial census. The more counted, the more Party gains power. So, let’s burn the house down. Los Angeles being a good starting point, no? Antifa and agitators got the ball rolling. Think Damn It!
