I’ve heard it said: Freedom isn’t free. And yes, the phrase is about those who go to war for their nation and willingly sacrifice their life for us, those who do not go to war. Yet, in the schemes of government and truth, isn’t it all really a fallacy? An untruth. No one has defended national “democracy” or the nation itself since the Civil War. And truthfully, since the Spanish-American War, the country, which has kept land, naval, and air forces that were supposedly designed for peace, but in actuality have been used for aggression. I mean, Cuba was considered the “Gibraltar of America” before Spain was kicked out as there were many here who wanted to make the island a State. How did that work out?
But it also brings us to one axiomatic truth: WE THE PEOPLE are not free, not by any stretch of the imagination. And if anyone believes they are, they are a fool. Worse, as each year passes, most are willing to surrender any remaining supposed freedoms they may have for a perceived government safety net. Only, the government (party irrelevant) does not give a tinker’s damn about anyone but the elites who are paying for their ability to undermine a system that was meant for all.
Plus, to put icing on the cake, the country is headed for the proverbial cliff. With illegal immigration, BRICS, and the increasing desire to put the country back into another Vietnam, if not three of them (Taiwan, Ukraine, Iran), the country can ill afford any of this. Because the national debt, like illegal immigration, is out of control and not one single legislator is doing anything to stop any of it. Or the political cacophony claiming America is a racist nation. Then inflation, the promise of reparations, and government overreaching regulations against gas stoves, fossil fuels, incandescent bulbs, and the forced use of EVs to name a couple issues. Then there’s the demand for DEI, digital currency, the funding of NGOs to bring illegals in, and the incessant push to transition wrong to right and right to wrong, all while the compass of morality is thrown into the abyss. Yet, in the slide to morally self-destruct, if one calls out “enough,” they’re called a hypocrite. But at some point, and I don’t give a damn who you are, each and every one of us will call “Uncle” as every single human being has a limit. And if those in government don’t get one (limit), then we’re all in serious trouble.
Example: Didn’t the current governor of Illinois (Pritzker) just ask the governor (Abbott) of Texas to stop sending illegal aliens to the State? But he doesn’t include the mayor of San Antonio, nor President Biden. Yet didn’t the previous governor (Rauner) declare the State of Illinois a sanctuary State? And didn’t Pritzker even expand what Rauner enacted? And now he cries foul while Texas is inundated with illegals because the current executive administration is purposely flooding the country with them using the Mexican cartels help, including the unending flow of fentanyl, all of which is provided by China. And imagine, Pritzker even declared his State a “welcome center.” Yet, one party is doing all of this. And yes, there is a spattering of the other side helping. But ask yourself: Are they not all by definition traitors? Destroying the country by allowing those entering the country illegally to remain. Or, at a minimum, is it not hypocrisy in action what Pritzker is pleading for after declaring sanctuary status? Yet, in all of this, it’s apparent no one cares how many illegals enter the country. Although, that was until it had a direct negative affect on personal lives. Today the citizens of Chicago are feeling the effects firsthand, and thus, have had enough. And in the end, this situation nationwide will not end well.
So, look around, listen to what legislators say, but watch what they do. Do their actions match their words. as each believes their party to be the savior of the nation, whereas the other party is the destroyer. All the while, both parties are out to destroy WE THE PEOPLE. And it’s happening right before our very eyes. So, I ask: How can one group of people be so stupid? And yes, I’m referring to: WE THE PEOPLE. Example: The stock market returns average gains of ten percent a year. Some years higher, others lower, but the overall average: 10 percent. Although, this past year (2023) the S&P 500 rose 24.8 percent. So, if one could time the market better than the most astute stock trader, they could pull in returns better than most. Yet, one Democrat Representative was able to beat the market and earned a staggering 238.9 percent return. Now, that’s impressive by any stretch of the imagination. While, on average, Democrats were so good they pulled thirty-one percent gains overall while Republicans earned just 18 percent.
Well, in writing, I sometimes present a standard question: In the design to create a better nation for all, which group was more right; Federalist or Anti-Federalist? One wanted a federal head, the other: No way! On another front, both feared a federal head becoming tyrannical, and thus wanted every citizen to remain armed. Not to protect the nation from outside forces but from the government itself. So, the problem in one’s ability to answer which side was more right is understanding both sides and the battles they fought over adopting the Constitution or just correcting the Articles of Confederation. Except, in the hyperbole of their day, even though both sides were partly right, one was more so. And one must be erudite to see the duplicity taking place in government today. But in truth, does any of it matter? Does the foundation they laid down for future generations to follow have any bearing on the outcomes our government lays out for us to follow? Two different worlds, centuries apart, the current one allowing the design for autarchy to be implemented based on the indolence of citizens today who have no idea about what’s happening, nor care about anything ongoing outside of trending nonsense. The political coup, an easy outcome.
Which makes the understanding of our nation’s framing documents an imperative action required by every citizen. Without such knowledge, the door is opened to allow the government the ability subjugate those who were supposed to hold those in power in check. So, as I repeat ad nauseum the following: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness (Declaration of Independence), how did the Framer’s define Liberty: (noun) Freedom from restraint, in a general sense, and applicable to the body, or to the will or mind. The body is at liberty, when not confined; the will or mind is at liberty, when not checked or controlled. A man enjoys liberty, when no physical force operates to restrain his actions or volitions (Webster’s 1828).
Except the Framer’s continued in clarifying: That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed - (Declaration of Independence). Which manifests the need to expand the definition of their desire regarding liberty: Civil liberty, is the liberty of men in a state of society, or natural liberty, so far only abridged and restrained, as is necessary and expedient for the safety and interest of the society, state or nation. A restraint of natural liberty, not necessary or expedient for the public, is tyranny or oppression. Civil liberty is an exemption from the arbitrary will of others, which exemption is secured by established laws, which restrain every man from injuring or controlling another. Hence the restraints of law are essential to civil liberty (Webster’s 1828). And yes, read that definition again!
Then Natural Liberty defined: consists in the power of acting as one thinks fit, without any constraint or control, except from the laws of nature. It is a state of exemption from the control of others, and from positive laws and the institutions of social life. This liberty is abridged by the establishment of government (Webster’s 1828).
So, yes, freedom isn’t free. And every American damn well better start fighting for what remains of theirs. Why? Because they are being taken away at rate unfathomable. Then liberty, that inalienable (cannot be taken away) Right, given to each of us by our Creator, and not the government, that is synonymous with freedom, which all appears to be on the chopping block in the fight to preserve our so-called “democracy.” Only, we’re a constitutional republic. And thus, the Constitution, itself a fundamental law where every law written must find its root. Or, in other words: A limit on the powers given to the government to control the people, where WE THE PEOPLE are in control of those governing. The main requirement is one’s ability to understand the dictates and the premise of the Constitution’s wording constitutionally, not through party fiat. So, if you hate your country and the desire is to see the nation destroyed, go ahead, continue to stand with party. On the other hand, if you love your country, and want to see the nation continue for generations to come, then learn the foundation, the intent of our framing documents. Because, without that knowledge, those who espouse word salad pontifications of nonsensical verbiage will easily dupe those who accept the illogical wording as truth.
