Principle: a comprehensive and fundamental law, doctrine, or assumption (a rule or code of conduct).
As the first morning of 2024 dawned on the western horizon, an ominous dark fog enveloped the world. One that’s permeated every facet of human life, striving to change the prevailing construct of truth into a smorgasbord of deceit. Where upside down is meant to be normal, and inside out, commonplace. America itself, living in a multiple of years drunken stupor. The sad part: much of the discombobulation has been driven either by the government itself or one of the two prevailing political parties. All on purpose, with intent, to achieve a design. And whether a calm of soberness can take shape, or the continued bottle of stupidity be poured, only time and calmer heads will tell. Although, truthfully, the prognosis is not looking good. But anymore in this mixed-up world: What are the principles of belief the nation stands upon?
So, looking back in time, when after suffering through the American Revolution, the Framers brought forth the Constitution. Was their wording deliberate, or just words on paper: WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America (preamble).
Imagine, in their day and time, unlike the Democrat and Republican of today, each Federalist and Anti-Federalist fought to preserve what they believed to be the best route forward for the future and posterity of the country. Not for self-aggrandizement, but for all citizens. And as much as we’re misled today, their fights were not for party, but country. To preserve the foundation laid in the Declaration of Independence: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed … A completely missed or misunderstood facet of our government today: WE THE PEOPLE. Yet, in the midst of all the current ongoing confusion, when deciding what principles the nation stands for and if they are meant to bend, can they then actually be called principles? Or are they an ambiguous undefined goal to attain, depending on the group being placated. So, while the national turmoil increases, what is actually truth in a principle? Or is there even any truth anymore?
In life, words are important, or they should be. But the less important government makes them become, the more one is able to deceive another. And our government, through the obfuscation of society today, has been able to twist the past to fit the present in order to remove the past from the present and thereby change society as a whole. But to understand history from a perspective of truth, were the nation’s Framers perfect men? Hardly. Did they make mistakes? Most definitely. But did they set a course, one never before experienced in the history of the world? Damn straight they did. But the question beginning from day one: Can the national course be kept?
And now, sadly, unless a major course change takes shape, it appears the nation will not survive as it was intended. A nefarious design of intent is replacing the Constitution’s original intent of design. Example: with the current cacophony of voices expounding the end of democracy if one individual becomes president, our southern border is completely out of control. Yet, on a daily basis, we’re being told it’s secure while tens of thousands cross daily. The nation’s face being changed by an overall additional surge of millions of illegal aliens bringing all manner of poverty and unchecked disease into the country. Worse, those who are entering the country to do national harm. And yes, that day of reckoning will be forthcoming.
And the cities which professed, “Sanctuary Status,” now blaming Texas for bussing illegals out of the State and the cause of the overrun nature of their streets: You reap what you sow. Yet, the federal government is openly and secretly flying plane loads of illegal aliens across the country, making the bus runs appear chump by comparison. And to say local governments hold innocence in the disbursement of illegals across the country is a fallacy. I live outside San Antonio and the city government there runs a couple “stash houses,” holding illegals waiting to board an airline for shipment. When their departure time presents, they load them on buses and transport them to the airport. And recently, on one individual’s notice to appear paperwork, they were granted an eight year wait before having to report. Yet, when I fly, if I do not present a photo ID, I do not get past TSA. But any illegal flying who has not been vetted in any shape, form, or fashion, can present a piece of paper, then board any flight, while the mounting weight of the influx has yet to reap a full reckoning. Hopefully though, it appears actual citizens themselves are finally done with the prevarications of a party that has for years lied to obtain votes. But in truth, are they? Will those vociferously demanding action today to rid the country of the illegal invasion stay the course? Or, like most others, in the end, just accept the party narrative. But what was the Framers’ intent when it came to immigration? There is not one word mentioned in the Constitution, except:
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization (Article I/Section 8/Fourth Clause).
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions (Article I/Section 8/14th Clause).
Except, let’s also not forget the 14th Amendment/Section 1, known as the birthright clause, or more truthfully a slavery amendment, and those who completely negate one all important aspect of it: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. So, do words matter? Is national sovereignty important? Or does anything count with a government hellbent on granting amnesty to millions to forever change the vote. And all in the name of power. Yet, as mentioned, in the ongoing noise, one individual, if elected president, will end democracy as we understand it? Although, in the cacophony of voices, there is never a discussion about the country being a constitutional republic. And while the national face negatively changes, I propose: How does government “insure domestic Tranquility” as declared in the Constitution with the illegal alien deception taking place?
So, ask yourself. Are principles worth standing for or are they something to bend to fit a narrative. But understand, once bent, they are no longer a principle. Merriam Webster’s defined what a principle is, and the government’s job was to uphold the principles declared in the Constitution. Whereas the judicia’s job is to keep the Constitution as a fundamental law, its principles upheld. And the people? Their job is to make certain they know and understand the principles being used are upheld to a standard worthy of respect. But when respect and principle no longer carry the weight they once did: When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political [party] bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires [everyone to understand the fundamental premise of the foundation laid forth by the nation’s Framers.] Yes, a play on the Declaration of Independence, with a warning to learn and understand our governing documents. Today, America is undergoing an internal multi-fronted war. A pronged attempt to change the landscape of believability into national disunity, and an erased national sovereignty. A war the country has never yet faced but has been surreptitiously woven into the fabric of our country by a design to destroy what the Framers laid out, starting with the Civil Rights Act. And because there is no definition of what a moral compass is anymore, it leaves the imagination to run amuck and delegitimize what was deemed acceptable. I fervently pray our nation can again find its soul, course correct, and become principled again.
