Now, I’ve heard it said two ways: Life is precious; Life is cheap. To which, tis the season … and Christmas came early for one. President Biden in a sweeping, never before heard of, granted his son, Hunter, a pardon for crimes committed, including for one’s he hasn’t: The sweeping never heard of part! Even after claiming he wouldn’t pardon him at all. Except, on the he hasn’t committed part, why pardon, unless he did? Worse, if you or I did what he did (taxes or gun), we’d be in jail, our lives ruined. And yes, Clinton and Trump pardoned family. But do multiple wrongs make a right? Only, to sweeten the pot, it appears he will also grant his brother Jim a pardon for crimes not committed. Even after the family raked in millions of dollars, starting with Burisma. And I get it, the influence of his position then (VP) and last name (Biden) had no part in the sweet deals created to make those millions. So, in the word of the president, if one thinks they did: Don’t! Because power has its perks.

Now, throw in Anthony Fauci, Liz Cheney, and Adam Schiff, the stalwarts of democracy and protecting citizens, as well, becoming possible recipients of pardons for not having been charged with a crime. Which should make one wonder: Did they commit crimes? But the desire to obfuscate, twisting truth to lies is all part of the political game being played. And yes, President Ford pardoned Nixon for Watergate, while Carter, the Vietnam draft dodgers. But in those pardons, they’d been charged with or committed a crime. Which should make one question if the multiples of crimes Trump was charged with were the impetus to pre-issue pardons for crimes not committed. Thus, did he actually commit crimes or was it all a party hit job to keep him from running again? And do not think I believe Trump better than Biden, he being a bloviated blowhard. Wondering: these are the best the country can muster? But the entirety being more a tit for tat in the party politics of vying for the ultimate goal: autarchy.

Only, Christmas didn’t end at pardons. President Biden then flew to Angola and ponied up one billion dollars while apologizing for America’s original sin: slavery. Even while some here in our country are still without homes after two back-to-back hurricanes. Although wasn’t “original sin” the result of Eve’s encounter with the serpent and forbidden fruit at the tree of knowledge and understanding? Because when it comes to slavery, it’s not an American (western) institution. Plus, didn’t Africa itself play the major role in forcing its own people into the subjugation of slavery, profiting off the selling of human life? And isn’t the word slave rooted in the Latin word sclavus, when the Romans corralled the Slavic people into slavery? Those being “white” in color? But didn’t Representative Jasmine Crocket (D-Texas) with extreme vitriol, recently vociferously opine that “no white men” have suffered oppression in America. I suggest everyone, including Jasmine, study just a scotch of history.

But the Bible, the Pope, and what’s possibly become a true original sin: Catholicism. Going back to September, the Pope made the claim that “all religions are a path to God.” Except, in the Bible: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (James 14:6). So, if a religion doesn’t believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, how can it be “a path to God?” Or is the Pope rewriting the script of the Bible? That, if multiple paths now exist getting through to God, how many other revisions to the Bible are forthcoming? And believe me, I get it: Religion is business, and business needs customers, as customers bring money. Hell, even the government has become the business handing out money. And while religion is in the business of making money, Catholicism, using their NGO (non-government-organization) status to obtain taxpayer funds, will intentionally further destroy our country by helping illegals into the country, violating the law, while increasing the church’s bottom-line profit. You know, the America open borders dilemma, akin to the Jews in Israel fight for theirs and President Biden’s claim a two-state solution being their answer. How’s that separation of church and state supposed to work? I suggest he and the Pope read the Bible, but being Catholics holding power; I guess they can just self-absolve any sins they commit. Isn’t that the way power works: Do as I say, not as I do!

Only, in the same vein: Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head” (Luke 9:58). Then continuing, Jesus even said: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me (Matthew 26:11). So, me being Catholic, listens to the Pope, who now it appears, puts himself above Jesus. But as I look at the politics of religion and the religion of party politics: Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:25-28). To which I wonder: What would Jesus say if He witnessed how the fat of the lamb, the church today, lives in the lap of luxury, being served, allowing us, the servants, to kiss the ring on occasion, while the poor multiply faster than rabbits. Yeah: Read His (Jesus’) words again.

And if capitalism is truly oppression in its own right and Bernie Sanders believes Democratic Socialism is the fruit of all becoming wealthy, how did he capitalistically obtain the wealth he has having worked in politics only, a public servant? All while many of his constituents today struggle to make ends meet. And those who support the premise of Bernie Sander’s philosophy; at tax time, do they pay the most they can in taxes, or look for the most deductions? Yeah: it’s what I thought. Better, those who pay zilch in income tax, yet want the same government check. Yes, those who are struggling to make ends meet while Bernie flaunts his life of luxury they desire, envious of the exact same: the benefit of no work for maximum pay. Yeah, it’s what I thought: Total Bullshit! And no, Republicans aren’t any better, nor worse! They promote capitalism while sucking the lifeblood of their constituents.

Although, in the gift of giving, in part, due to the pardoning of Hunter Biden, it is now being pushed to grant clemency to thousands of incarcerated individuals for harsh sentences before President Biden leaves office. Only, didn’t President Biden, when a Senator, help create the signature legislation that leveled the sentences for most of those thousands to whom he will now be granting clemency? And in the cases of plaintiff versus defendants being tried, did not VP Kamala Harris succeed in winning hundreds of cases using the same type legislation when she was a California prosecutor? Only now grant clemency. Why?

Then in last week’s madness, the United Healthcare CEO was gunned down on a New York city street as health insurance providers post record profits in the billions. What reason did the shooter believe he had? And not condoning, but first and conversely, aren’t the record shattering profits the all-encompassing opportunistic venture brought about by the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare? That if one just skims the surface, there is nothing affordable about it, but Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi pontificated then: We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it. And any bullshit about words out of context are muted when this was a party specific bill. Its real desire to help bring the country to its knees on the premise of socialism being the better choice. Although, I do wonder: In the lobbying game, how many legislators (D/R) have reaped a monetary benefit of the healthcare industries windfalls becoming millionaires themselves in the process. All at the expense of individuals who’ve had to pay bloated premiums or receive money sucked from taxpayers through the benevolence of payment subsidies of a forced upon unconstitutional “health” insurance. All the while: record profits. A scam!

So, continuing on the subject of healthcare, people are in an uproar over the ability of a minor to choose their gender. The God given male/female sex conundrum of what really is a burgeoning mental health problem. Again, two sides, party specific in their belief thereof. So much, the issue is at the Supreme Court being argued. And during deliberations, a position was presented that puberty blockers including destructive surgeries are irreversible and detrimental to the health of the child. Now, if understood correctly, this issue includes the allowance of children as young as two to make the life altering decision. Astoundingly, Justice Sotomayor responded that the treatments are akin to the taking of aspirin. Seriously! One cannot make this crap up. Although let’s skip past child porn and MAPs (minor attracted persons). The next phase of debate once gender affirming care becomes accepted mainstream.

Well, a lifetime ago, I was about a month away from turning seventeen when my world was shaken to its core. In an instant I learned Santa wasn’t real and being Catholic wasn’t my ethnicity. Dumbfounded, I surmised one out of two was 50/50 to the good. But wasn’t Jesus born on the 25^th of December while the jolly fat man antes up on the same day? And I’ll never forget the day I walked away from the Catholic church. Mom’s words: I’ll pray for you. Although, I wonder what she’d say today. I’m just glad she’s not here to see the travesties taking place. Anyway, as the Christmas season gains momentum, remember the reason for the season: receiving being better than giving. Just ask any politician, the Pope included. And if you’re a staunch party believer, may I suggest a gift for you or a loved one: a copy of the Constitution. Just make sure you read and understand it. Because it’s apparent, no one does, nor reads the Bible. Now, the Constitution, being beneath the Bible, was the precious (many sacrificed life for) gift given to American citizens by our forebears. And as conundrums present, just like the Constitution, life itself has become cheap and no longer precious. And what’s truly sad, as I struggle to find good in either political party, legislators or religion, it’s become abundantly clear, WE THE PEOPLE; yes, we’ve become this stupid! So, what the hell: three cheers to the Pope and President Biden! Thoughts?
