I found early in youth; I was going to struggle with life in many ways. Dad was stationed at Holloman AFB outside Alamogordo, New Mexico when my minds-eye picture of the future was beginning to form. I was in the second grade and the daily teacher notes I brought home to the parents along with the regular parent-teacher conferences were causing stress. One evening, Dad, in some frustration, was talking with Mom. They were in the kitchen; I was in the living room. I guess he didn’t realize I was within ear-shot when: You know, if we parked the car in the neighbor’s driveway, he’d never find us.
Well, time passed, high school presented, and both Mom and Dad were completely flummoxed. Their only saving grace, I was nearing the end of the line home-wise. Knowing if I didn’t fly the nest quick, I believe they’d have booted me quicker. So, I joined the Navy on the delayed enlistment program before graduating. And surprisingly, when I took the ASVAB, I qualified for any program offered, including the nuclear field, but settled for Electrician’s Mate. After bootcamp, I was off to “B” and “A” school. The first round of study was a self-paced “basic electricity and electronics” course. Only, the self-pace wasn’t mine but the instructor’s, who one day informed me I could not “retire” from the class. He then proceeded: Were you born stupid or just grew into being so? So, as stories go, to everyone’s surprise, I made E-5 before my first four years were a wrap.
So, when I exited the Navy stage left, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. Then one day an interview presented, and I wound up accepting a position to be an “inside sales coordinator.” The worst part, I’m not a fan of salespeople, but thought I’d give it a try. The company was a manufacturer of building components. As I toured the plant and was introduced to other employees, I met the “plant superintendent.” After names were exchanged, hands shaken, he was informed of my position and job title. He looked directly at me: You’re nothing but a glorified order taker. He then turned and walked away. In that instant, I promised myself I would learn every aspect of the job and then some. As the years passed, the job changes went from sales to project management, and I ultimately landed as a plant manager. And, in that job description, I learned there was no such thing as an accident, but incidents. As one either fails to understand, know, or learn their environment, thus something happens, usually in the negative outcome territory.
Which brings me back to my last post and Federalist1with a simple word choice by changing out accident: It has been frequently remarked that it seems to have been reserved to the people of this country, by their conduct and example, to decide the important question, whether societies of men are really capable or not of establishing good government from reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on [incident] and force. Think of the opposite of not knowing and understanding one’s surroundings, are those who do, whereby they intentionally create an incident, thus forming an incident of intent. Where, when one fully understands and knows their surroundings, they are thereby able to achieve a pre-determined goal. Yes: The basis of every political party. Although, the begging question is those who vote being able to understand the party’s intent to prevent an incident:
Candor will oblige us to admit that even such men may be actuated by upright intentions; and it cannot be doubted that much of the opposition which has made its appearance, will spring from sources, blameless at least, if not respectable; the honest errors of minds led astray by preconceived jealousies and fears. So numerous indeed and so powerful are the causes which serve to give a false bias to the judgement, that we, upon many occasions, see wise and good men on the wrong as well as on the right side of the questions for the first magnitude to society. This circumstance, if duly attended to, would furnish a lesson of moderation to those who are ever so much persuaded of their being in the right in any controversy. And a further reason for caution, in this respect, might be drawn from the reflection that we are not always sure that those who advocate the truth are influenced by purer principles than their antagonists. Ambition, avarice, personal animosity, party opposition, and many other motives not more laudable than these, are apt to operate as well upon those who support, as upon those who oppose, the right side of a question. Were there not even these inducements to moderation, nothing could be more ill-judged than that intolerant spirit which has, at all times, characterized political parties. For in politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword. Heresies in either can rarely be cured by persecution (Federalist 1).
Thus, putting America today at a crossroad. With the upcoming elections, the desire to twist truth to influence outcomes requires everyone to understand the Constitution. So, while the country is in flames, and the nation crumbles while a debt of unpayable sums is mounting, and the border is an open flow of individuals where job opportunities will be non-existent. Yet the recent senate passing of a bill for $95.3 billion to fund the war in Ukraine and Israel can lay a larger debt burden on WE THE PEOPLE while solving none of the issues stateside. Worse, the bills origination and passing came from the Senate, yet: All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills (Article I/Section 7). Again, an additional $95.3 BILLION laid on the backs of our posterity, owed by those who have no idea of the debt by those who had no power to propose the debt. I pray that even a fool can understand this spending is unsustainable. The nation’s debt interest alone is destroying the country.
Except, aren’t there supposedly three separate branches of government protecting and defending the Constitution: Executive; Legislative; Judicial, with job descriptions and responsibilities. And when things are being done nefariously through Congress, ask yourself, where is the executive and judicial: Whoever attentively considers the different departments of power must perceive, that, in a government in which they are separated from each other, the judiciary, from the nature of its functions, will always be the least dangerous to the political rights of the Constitution; because it will be least in a capacity to annoy or injure them. The Executive not only dispenses the honors, but holds the sword of the community. The legislature not only commands the purse, but prescribes the rules by which the duties and rights of every citizen are to be regulated. The judiciary, on the contrary, has no influence over either the sword or the purse; no direction either of the strength or of the wealth of the society; and can take no active resolution whatever. It may truly be said to have neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment; and must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm for the efficacy of its judgments (Federalist 78).
So first, read those words again and again until they are completely understood, because where the court can only determine if an item is constitutional or not, it requires the integrity of the executive to uphold the legislative in character and truth based on the ruling of the judicial. And why the court today only waits for an issue to be brought forward, their job should be to call out injustice from the start. Plus, the court has no power! All three branches must hold a standard of character, integrity, and truth, completely based in constitutional precepts, not party politics. Like Superman: Truth, Justice and the American way! Only, both political parties (Democrat/Republican – including all three branches) have for some time been falsely persecuting each other through the heresy of political prevarication while jointly destroying the country. A comingling of party politics to replace constitutional truth. A false-fronted attempt to lure the people into believing they care. Only, they don’t care, the Ukraine bill an example of the deception playing out. Ask yourself, will the nation survive as it was intended or die by a deliberate incident to destroy the principles of its foundation through the will of the people. And if one does not know or understand the Constitution, the ability to create an incident becomes even easier.
While the nation continues to go through the political upheavals of party, the only possible “saviors” of the country can be WE THE PEOPLE: the power of the vote. Because its apparent, legislators do not care. Except, if there is actually any validity left in the vote, the only way to save the nation is to understand the “right side of a question.” And the only way to answer the right side of a question is to know and understand the Constitution, including original intent. Trust me, the dumber a party can keep its people, the better the odds of taking full control of the country. Power is an elixir best restrained or held by a greater number opposed to a few: The intent behind WE THE PEOPLE. And history is ripe with examples of destruction through power.
And for those who believe the debt inconsequential or the situation at the southern border will end well, including the citizens who despise their country: But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion on duty, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman citizen and has not been tried?” When the centurion heard this, he went to the cohort commander and reported it saying, “What are you going to do? This man is a Roman citizen.” Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” “Yes,” he answered. The commander replied, “I acquired this citizenship for a large sum of money.” Paul said, “But I was born one” (Acts 22: 25-28). Apathetic defined: having little or no interest or concern: INDIFFERENT. Those of us who were born American or paid to become so have a duty to protect and preserve the Constitution for generations to come. And never forget, thousands paid through the sacrifice of their lives to breathe life into this nation we call the United States of America. So, I’ll close with one last Bible verse: Amen, amen I say to you, whoever does not enter through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber (John 10:1). And yes, entering “the gate” correctly and not “climbing over elsewhere” applies to more than just the border. Finally, don’t be a “Ric,” but be aware of intended incidents, as life itself has enough struggles of its own, even without the deceit of government.
All I can say is wow , this is the best writing yet
