once stupid becomes smart; what's next?
In my reading, I enjoy a wide variety of history and opinions. Because, even though I’m always right, other perspectives bring a clarity of purpose to me striving to present what I believe is an absolute truth. Of the periodicals I read en masse, because of covid, the quality of their writing had declined to where most of them have fallen into the “used to” category, except for one: True West. So much, when the publishers recommended a book about the life’s work of a photographer, I showed Barbara the ad. She, in turn, and to my surprise, purchased a copy for me. Then to my dismay and chagrin, the book being a tome heavier than a one-ton brick, appears to be more an epistle of one’s hatred of country because of supposed injustices to the Indian nations. So, what I thought would be a pictograph of the photographer’s work, isn’t. Although, I’ll read the book to the end, but it raised some thoughts.
And even though I believe this nation was beautifully framed, it’s apparent, there is a growing cacophony to dismantle what little remains of the original intent, begging: What will happen next? Thus, American history is a bounty of bad, with a spattering of good here and there. The main problem being humans by nature, with power, control, greed, and the desire to crush another for the ownership of their belongings. So, if one studies the history of the American west, what is the overriding consensus: Treaties are meant to be broken. Plus, if one is going to enter one, never trust the government. I bet the old South Vietnam government regrets to this day the trust they placed in American legislators. Hell, imagine the Indians, who, having placed their trust in the government, lost everything, were put on reservations and starved, mistreated, or outright killed. Then, the Indians who did align and served the country by tracking down their own people. Once everything was done, they were then thrown under the bus as well by those they served. Plus, were they Judases or patriots?
Conversely, when it comes to the west, who was actually first, and what happened to them? Ponder: those who claim to be first today; were they the party of their demise? Plus, those who were here at the time America migrated there, had the wave not come from the east, it would have come from somewhere. That was an inevitability no human being could stop: NO ONE! As well, the various tribes who roamed their land did not work in union or communion with each other, until they had to align to win. They also fought rival nations to retain what they believed was theirs or enlarge their land holdings. None of this being any different than world history or animals in the animal kingdom. Man sought to take by force using another’s life what he desired, while animals mark a territory, then fight to the death to retain it, or in submission to a superior adversary, surrender it: Natural or nature’s law. Although, there were many Chiefs from the various nations who should be regaled and honored in military leadership and strategy. Except, part of their inevitable downfall, in terms of military superiority; a lack of technology in military equipment. Their “repeater” being the bow and arrow, even though it was a more capable weapon initially. But with the advent of the horse into the equation, it changed many an outlook and a tribe’s ability to cover more ground, enhance battle performance, strategically acquire more land, and hunt game. An amalgamation of historical truths making for one wild ride and why the Spanish did not want the Indian to get the horse.
Which brings me full circle back to America and the Declaration of Independence (DOI): We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. But I have to go back to the past and ask if the Framers truly believed in what they wrote? Or was it like legislators today: Speak with a forked tongue. Because when one weighs the issue of slavery in the equation: How great is America? Was the framing intentionally deceptive or have the individuals who’ve manipulated the process to their benefit through the centuries been more of the issue? And trust me, amendments, legislators, intent and obfuscation are among things that each and every WE THE PEOPLE person better come to grips with, and fast.
So, if all men are created equal, what did the Framers mean by: He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions (DOI). Now, read those words again, then look around at the political elite today. Because if one cannot correlate a similarity, then the party blinders are fully ensconced. Conversely, were the American Indians not men (human) themselves? But if the past is the past, then based on the words of President Obama, the Plains Indian Wars were most definitely a long time ago. And where one cannot change the past, but if one today wants to live in the past, and retain their past ways, then why do they want the dollar and the conveniences of the modern world? Plus, if land is so sacred, and a lifeway more so, then why the casinos and gamblers? Or the tourist traps on the reservations where the cost to enter requires one’s savings account. And do not misconstrue my words. I am fascinated by the American Indian lifeways. I enjoy the various heritages, customs, clothing, and philosophies. My family has met and gotten to know a couple who live on the Navajo reservation. We’ve been to their house, broken bread, and I personally have the utmost respect for them. We’ve also conversed with others in their habitats and walked away “friends.” I envy them in many ways.
But in all things, and everything American and bad, what about all the other vagaries of political warfare starting with the 1st Amendment (12/15/1791): Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; … Now, I do believe the full intent of this first part was strictly government would not establish a national religion, a remembrance of the Framers past. Yet, it has grown into the separation of church and state, the two not able to mix in any type of pretext, right? Only, through religious NGOs (non-government organizations), the government is funding religion, and church is being used to infiltrate illegals into the country while the NGO becomes rich in the process. And if the American Indian and every citizen cannot see any historical irony of the plains in the border rush taking place today, then God help us all. Now, the second half of the 1st … or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I guess one only needs to determine where freedom of speech ends and hatred in words start. Or are hate filled words and actions permissible? If so, then shouting “FIRE” in a crowded theatre becomes “free speech” also. There are events taking place today requiring everyone to wake up. Recently, when I heard the words: Death to America; Death to Israel; October 7th was one day, but there will be thousands more; I AM Hamas, and we’ll finish what Hitler started, while a congressperson calls them “peaceful,” I question their intent. As I recall, on that day (Oct. 7th), over 1,400 individuals were wiped out: men, women and children by Hamas. So, if these words are allowed and justified by those leading, then a precipice is quickly being reached that the country cannot return from. Because, if the nation does not come to terms with itself, October 7th will happen here. Wake Up!
But all it requires is those able to vote to do so, right? But one must first understand the issues, have knowledge in the nation’s framing documents and be desirous to make a difference, the ability for all to vote: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude (15th Amendment/Section 1 – 2/3/1870). Except, this was a singular amendment for only black men having the ability to vote. Women were another matter: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex (19th Amendment – 8/18/1920). Only, “weren’t all men created equal?” Except, it didn’t end there: The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax (24th Amendment – 1/24/1964). Then came age: The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age (26th Amendment – 7/1/1971).
Only, with the current trends allowing minor children to choose their supposed biological self, will the voting age be reduced to allow all persons the right to vote? Because, at what age does one separate the ability to cognitively think clearly and make wise decisions or act in complete stupidity? And once that takes place, what’s next? Honestly, I do not believe 18-year-olds have enough life experiences to vote. Yet, young men are old enough to be drafted and go off to die for causes unknown. But I also believe military service should be compulsory, but the government not allowed to mettle in affairs designed to make a war machine wealthy. A military designed for defensive actions only. Plus, in our new world order of equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion, why are young women not being forced to sign up for the draft as well.
And sadly, amendments are being used today, the antithesis of their original intent: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws (14th Amendment/Section 1 – 7/9/1868). The afore worded being a slave amendment due to the southern States (Democrats) after the Civil War who believed blacks to be sub-human and fought to keep them from being citizens in those States. The entirety of the slave years being a national conundrum, but the African continent having to hold no accountability for what they did to their own people. And worse, America today, due to the desire to flood the nation with people, the sole purpose to change the nation, have re-instituted slavery on a scale unmatchable by our forefathers. And DACA (deferred action childhood arrivals) being an executive order under the premise of the 14th amendment, but not law, allowing another pretext to change the voting landscape nationally. Ask yourself: What happens to the rest of the family tree? But for additional thought and consideration; in 2030, the decennial census will count every person in the country including illegals. Now, the original intent or design was to allocate representation in Congress. Only, it has become a money laundering scheme, and the illegals being counted will change the balance in the House of Representatives forever. And once done, blanket amnesty will be next in line, the vote itself forever diluted.
So, to close; learn your Constitution. Understand the politics of subversion. Look for truth in words, including the deception of promises made versus being kept. And know, those in power want all your power taken away. I guess the best way to look at what is transpiring today; Stupid being elevated to smart. Because when I look back at recent history, I wonder: The “mostly peaceful” riots over George Floyd where stores were pillaged and city blocks were burned to the ground; Or the J6 coup to overturn the government; Or the now transpiring “completely peaceful” riots on college campuses across the country, what happens when WE THE PEOPLE become the “merciless Indian Savage?” Will the government turn on us like they did to the Indians who believed in and helped them?
